Annual funds can be used right away, so they give university leaders the ability to respond to emerging and unexpected needs in real time. Whether it’s launching research that addresses global challenges or creating new opportunities for students, this flexibility is a defining feature of all of Cornell’s annual funds.
This means we can say yes to more exciting new projects, address unexpected costs or changes in funding, and use dollars where they’re needed most.

In 2024–2025, donors gave $61.8 million to Cornell annual funds. More than 27,000 donors—all who made gifts of $500 or less—gave a total of $7.5 million. See what this helped accomplish.
